Sewa’s passion for baking began in 2009, in her kitchen while on maternity leave with her first child. At the time, she enjoyed a successful career in Marketing, managing projects for corporate clients.
“While on maternity leave, I would experiment with different recipes and flavours day in and day out in order to find the best tasting cake.”

The following year, Sewa found herself baking cupcakes for friends, family and her church.
“All I wanted to do was make cupcakes!”

After the birth of her second child, Sewa began creating larger, more intricate cakes and quickly developed a deep love for decorating. Through countless hours of practice, research and refining her craft, her skills flourished. During a year-long maternity break, what started as a passion soon became something much bigger — almost accidentally. Word spread rapidly about her cakes, and by the end of 2011, demand had grown so significantly that Sewa made the bold decision to leave her corporate career and focus entirely on her customers.
